We believe that a more diverse community is a stronger community. The Sacramento Comedy Foundation is committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion, at all levels of our organization. We want all of our patrons to see themselves represented on our stage.
To further that cause, the Sacramento Comedy Foundation provides scholarships for comedy classes at the Sacramento Comedy Spot to those who have been historically underrepresented and for whom money is a barrier.
Scholarships are awarded on a case-by-case, and class-by-class, basis for all levels of our improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy classes. To see our full academic catalog, click here. You do not have to audition for this scholarship, but you must begin at the 101 level for each type of class.
If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund the Foundation will give two class scholarships for every donation amount equal to a paid class. ($125-$160) These scholarships will be IN ADDITION to the three scholarships we would like to award per month. Donate here.
