Kids and teens need every opportunity to be themselves and have fun in a safe environment. They also need a creative place to build confidence, sharpen their minds, and learn to work as a team. Sacramento Comedy Foundation’s Improv for Kids classes have it all! Not only will your children learn improv, they’ll grow. They will learn the rules of improv, performance techniques, and short-form improv games (like Whose Line is it Anyway?) in a fun, supportive environment. Give the kids in your life an early start at developing a sharp mind and a quick wit while allowing them to have a blast!
Our new Improv for Kids program will be scheduled during the week, after school. Parents can stay and watch! We will be offering weekly Kids (ages 9-13) and Teens (ages 13-17) improv classes. This new program will be taught by Comedy Spot performer Michelle Petro, and is being developed by Corky McDonnell, Michelle Petro, and Brian Crall.
Improv for Kids launches in January 2018. We will be posting a schedule soon! These classes will be taught at the new Comedy Spot Training Center, located at 915 T Street in Sacramento.
Corky McDonnell is still an active member in this program, but will only be teaching special weekend events in the future. In addition to these new classes, we will be offering a workshop every few months where kids and teens will prepare a show during the day and perform in the evening.
